SPACE DIVIDER
Influenced by concave temples, Space Divider brings a referenced religious monumentality into reality. A space wholly dedicated to concentration and devotion. Its black reflective surface furthers the idea of finding personal awareness in a specific location. An exploration of indi- vidual space is juxtaposed with its surroundings. Breaking away from dogma, Space Divider introduces us to new a sublime experience.

For Amsterdam based, Niels Heymans hidden details and techniques drive the design process. After taking inspiration from fascinations or obsessions, he is able to let concepts develop on their own. Ultimately these gestures come out of a longing for spatial intervention. Materialization brings these ideas to reality. For Heymans, it is in our nature to personify everyday objects as pure elements. As a recent graduate from the Design Academy Eindhoven, he has worked for both Studio Wieki Somers and Scholten & Baijings.
